James Earl Parnell, Jr. 76 of Austinville passed away Sunday, December 18, 2005 at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Lula Mae S. Parnell of the home; two daughters & sons-in-law Phyllis & Homer Frazier of Hillsville and Calista & Brad Edwards of Cana; one sister & brother-in-law Cleavie & Glen Bowman of Dublin; brother-in-law & spouse Moses & Shirley Southern of Austinville; and two grandsons & spouse Justin Edwards and Eric & Katie Frazier. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel. The Rev. Winston Puckett will be officiating. Burial will follow in the White Allen Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday night.
