James David Lovill, 59 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2009 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Lovill was born in Carroll County to the late Conley & Dorothy Ogle Lovill. He is survived by his two daughters Amy Blackwell of Norfolk and Jamie Bells Flower of Lenoir, NC; sisters & brothers-in-law Margaret & Mason Ayers of Fancy Gap, Esther & Larry Haynes of Cana, and Rhonda & Mike Smith of Galax; nieces and nephews Julie Jones, Delta Edwards, Stephine Felts, Ashley Smith and Michael Smith; great niece and nephew Malakai Smith and Destiny Kennedy; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Wendell Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
