Obituary

James (Jim) Jackson Jessee III, 72 of Fancy Gap, passed away on March 11th, 2017 s urrounded by family and friends.

A celebration of his life will be held at First United Methodist Church, 225 Fulcher St. in H illsville. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 18th, with a Memorial Service at 2:00.

Jim was born in Knoxville TN and lived in Ormond Beach, FL. Upon graduation from Milligan College he began his career at Woodlawn High School.

Jim worked 35 years at Carroll County Public Schools as a teacher and a coach for several years. He held the position of principal at Dugspur, St, Paul and Gladeville Schools.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, camping, and hiking as well as refereeing several sports. His dedication to helping others, as well as spending time with family and friends gave him his greatest pleasure.

Jim is survived by his wife Linda of 45 years; his children Jack and his wife Judy, Jenni and her husband Ron, and Jared and his wife Emily. His grandchildren Rede, Sarah Elizabeth and Shepherd Jessee, and Brittany, Amber and Leia Keane.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents James Jackson Jessee Jr. and Ruth Pittillo Jessee.
