James Douglas ('J.D.') Robinson, 73, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father Kathleen and Joe Beasley. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his cousins

Mr. Robinson is survived by his brother, Roy Farmer and Family and a special friend, Savannah Burnette, who helped when he became disabled.

He graduated from William Byrd High School in Vinton, Virginia and was a veteran of the United States Army. He loved playing sports, especially basketball, bowling, and golf.

J.D. Retired from General Electric with 30 years of service.
