James Guy Bowman, 96 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Commonwealth Senior Living in Hillsville, Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Burton and Susan Victoria Quesinberry Bowman; grandson, Brad Bowman; brothers, Clayton Bowman and Glenn Bowman.

Survivors include his wife, June McGrady Bowman; children and spouses, Sue and Jerry Liles, Libby Bowman, and Tommy and Penny Bowman; six grandchildren, Greg Lyons, Kevin Lyons, Klee Liles, Chelsea Beaty, Cory Bowman, and Cody Bowman; five great grandchildren, Evan Lyons, Alex Lyons, Kaden Liles, Piper Beaty, and Riley Bowman; brother and sister-in-law, Verlin and Katie Bowman.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Woodlawn Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Dina Clower officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Woodlawn Methodist Church from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Military Rites will be conducted by Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115.
