James Houston Armentrout, 90 of Woodlawn passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Jeanette Armentrout; parents, William C. and Grace Burns Armentrout; brother, Billy Armentrout; sister, Loreda All.

Survivors include his children and spouses, Gregory and Carolyn Armentrout, Sandra and Bob Mullins, Barry and Donna Armentrout, Linda and Greg Hines, and William "Willie" and Peggy Armentrout; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; siblings, Bonnie Shoemaker, Richard Armentrout, Gary Armentrout, Larry and Cathy Armentrout, and Roger and Debbie Armentrout.

A Memorial Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Hillsville on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Zeb Hicks officiating. Burial will follow at Monta Vista Memorial Gardens in Galax, VA. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
