Jackie Teresa Goad, 61 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Goad was born in Wytheville on December 1, 1953. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Arnold. Survivors include her husband, Bishop R. Leon Goad of the home; children and spouse, April and Tony Largen of Hillsville and Wayne Delby of Christiansburg; mother, Violet Filipi of Leland, NC; step children and spouse, Suzanne Goad-Key of Lambsburg, Sarah Catherine Venegas of Radford, and William and Anitra Goad of Woodlawn; brothers and sister-in-law, George Arnold of Ivanhoe, Keith Arnold of Wytheville, Doug Arnold of Kentucky, Timmy Arnold of Kentucky, and Archie (Ike) and Rhonda Miller of Georgia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shelia and Eddie Kenny of Ivanhoe, Linda King of Wytheville, Lisa Arnold of Wytheville, and Archie Lee and Michael Fortenberry of Leland, NC; eleven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 3:00 PM with Bishop R. Leon Goad and associated Minister of New Life Ministries officiating. Burial will follow in Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
