Jack Alexander Mooring, 79 of Fancy Gap, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at his home. Mr. Mooring was born in Dixons Mills, Alabama to the late Jackson Burke and Leila Gardner Mooring.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Mooring; daughters, Rhonda Mooring Winder and husband, Joe Winder and Teresa Mooring Alday and husband, Bob Alday; son, Michael Alexander Mooring and wife, Leah Mooring; brother, Bobby Allen Mooring; and grandchildren, Jamison Ryan Winder and wife, Jillian Winder, Robert Brent Winder, and Noah Fenley Mooring.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 3:00 PM the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness at 322 Winterberry Road, Galax, VA with Warren Kimble officiating. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
