Jack Frank Jeffries, 84 of Hillsville, formerly of Charleston, WV, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at Twin County Regional Hospital. He was no stranger to pain; but rather dealt with the setbacks of life bravely and positively. Jack served in the Navy and often reminisced of those days proudly.

Mr. Jeffries is survived by his wife and caregiver Linda Wade McGuire Jeffries of the home; daughters Debbie Copeland & husband Don Lucci of Charleston, WV and Jackie Runyan & husband Mike of Duluth, GA; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; step daughters & spouses Delanya & Chad Tate of Fries and Jeanine & David Schoonover of Radcliff, KY; step son & spouse Michael & Debbie Frazier of Fancy Gap; and several step grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 25, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with the Rev. Ray Eichler officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardner Memorial Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted at the graveside by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday night at the funeral home.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Hospice workers and the hospital staff who surrounded Jack with love and compassion in his last days offering comfort, gentleness and impeccable care. He will be thought of and remembered for his great sense of humor, attitude, bravery and kindness to all people. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to Twin County Hospice P.O.
