Jack Wilson Janney, 94 of Hillsville, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at his home.  Mr. Janney was born in Floyd, Virginia to the late Johnnie and Lula Martin Janney.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Nadene L. Janney and his three brothers.

Survivors include his nieces, Mary Blankenship (Sonny), Evelyn Landes, and Sharleen Sage (Glen); nephews, Harmon Janney (Linda) and Bill Lewis (Patsy); great-nephew, Chuck Burnette; and special caregiver, Crystal Savage.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Elder Lewis Vass and Rev. Glen Sage officiating.  Burial will follow in the James F. Goad Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church c/o Betty Vass, 671 Sunny Cove Lane, Hillsville, VA 24343.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
