Ivil L. Edwards, 96, of Hillsville passed away on June 22, 2008 at Waddell Nursing Home in Galax. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Zenna & Marion Hicks of Hillsville, Zelda & David Burnette of Woodlawn; sister Irene Robinson of Hillsville; sisters-in-law Ruth Largen of Hillsville, Ila Carico of Galax; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Monta Vista Memory Gardens in Galax. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 23, 2008 from 6 to 8 PM at Vaughan Guynn McGrady Chapel in Hillsville.
