Ivan G. Bowman, 82, of Hillsville, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at his home. Mr. Bowman was born in Virginia to the late Swanson and Nanny Bowman.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Bowman; son, Andrew Bowman; daughter, Virginia L. (Ginger) Bowman; step-children, Teresa Bowman, Tamara Bowman, Billy Melton, Burley W. Melton, and Teresa York; sister, Vicie Smith, Bonnie Bowman, and Barbara Hawks; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Shiloh United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Ray Bolen officiating. Burial will follow in the Rome Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by Grayson County V.F.W. Post 7726. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
