Iva Jean Hudson Smith, 77 of Max Meadows, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Smith was born on February 20, 1936 to the late James Hastwell and Lucille Jones Hudson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Smith. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy R. and TiJuana Odum of Draper and Terry G. and Rebecca Odum of Max Meadows; grandchildren and spouses, Michael D. and Wendi Odum, Vanessa Odum Robinson, Travis N. and Jori Odum and Brianna R. Odum; great grandchildren, Davin M. Odum, Jasmine M. Robinson, Haley N. Robinson, and Morgan R. Odum; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis Leon and Aline Hudson of Erlanger, KY; and longtime special pet, DULCE. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February, 21, 2014 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:30 PM with Pastor Mike Wells and Pastor Eddie Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 until 2:30 PM prior to the funeral service.
