Iva Geraldine Nester, 73 of Dugspur, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Nester was born in Floyd County to the late Kyle Spence and Lelia Stanley Hall. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl W. Nester; brother, Cullie Spence; and sister, Nerine Pope.

Mrs. Nester is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Elwood Nester and Melissa of Dugspur; daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila Nester Weeks and Duane of Willis, and Patricia Gayle Ogle and Todd of Hillsville; brother, Doug Spence of Ararat; sister, Shelby Dulaney of Willis; and four grandchildren, Dereck Ogle, Jason E. Nester, Cody Weeks, and Jennifer Farmer.

A graveside service with burial following will be held at the Reece Cemetery in Dugspur on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Howard Nester officiating. There will be no visitation. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
