Iva Jewel Mares, 59, of Columbia, SC passed away on October 27, 2007 in Columbia. She was preceded in death by her parents James Harley & Nita P. Allen, brothers Ivan Kenneth Allen and Randy Lee Allen, Sr.; sister Delores Nolan; niece Lisa G. Panzetta, great nephew Christopher Allen St. Hilaire, and brother-in-law Alfred Barnett, Jr. She is survived by daughter and fiance Kristina E. Mares & Austin Wilson of Elgin, SC; son Timothy R. Atlee of Columbia, SC; brothers and sisters-in-law Roger E. & Sally Allen of Alexandria, VA, Kerry K. & Trudy Allen of Kingsport, TN, Don & Judy Allen of Fishersville, VA, Victor Wayne & Sherry Allen of Maryland, Douglas & Debbie Allen of Maryland; sisters and son-in-law Harlene Barnett of Austinville, Iris G. & Dr. James Panzetta of Kilmarnock, VA; grandchildren Timothy R. Atlee, Jr. of VA, Megan Nicole Atlee of VA, Abigail Jewel Wilson of Elgin, SC; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Vaughan Guynn McGrady Chapel, with the Rev. Jack King officiating. Burial will follow in the White and Allen Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 29, 2007 from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
