Iva Noonkester Hill, 84 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband Deward J. Hill; parents Elder George Noonkester and Delphia Dehart Noonkester; and two brothers Hassell and Dallas Noonkester. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Wilda & Tom Sudderth of Lewisville, NC; sons & daughters-in-law Amyl & Claudia Hill of Summerville, SC and JD & Brenda Hill of Hillsville; four brothers Paige Noonkester of Mt. Airy, NC, Jay and Michael Noonkester of Ararat, VA and Dwight Noonkester of Mt. Airy, NC; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; special nephew & spouse Eddie and Janice Bunn; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Elder Edward Bowman and Rev. Wendell Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
