Iva Ogle Easter, 93 of Rocky Mount, VA and formally of Hillsville, VA, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at Franklin Health & Rehab Center. Mrs. Easter was born in Wythe County, Virginia on April 19, 1927. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vivian & Myrtle Swecker Ogle, her husband, C. Allen Easter, a son Jacob Harris Easter, two sisters, Alma Jean Tedder, Lillie Ogle, two brothers, James Edward Ogle, Billy Richard Ogle.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law; Glen and Susan Easter, Sam and Gale Easter, grandchildren, Melissa Henninger & family, Daniel Allen Easter & family, grandson, Zachary Sink & family, and six great grandchildren

Iva Easter was a dedicated member of the Hillsville community and she thrived on working with members of numerous organizations. As a parent, she was involved in organizations which her children participated in including Boy Scouts and 4H. She also spent countless hours supporting her church, the VFW, and the Garden Club. She had a ready smile, endless energy, and a gift for making everyone she met feel welcome.

Graveside services and burial will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the Gardner Memorial Cemetery at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Kevin Campbell officiating. There will be no visitation held. The family ask all COVID-19 precautions be observed.
