Irvin Gene Rotenizer, 61, of Hillsville VA, passed away Thursday, July 31 in Winston-Salem, NC. Mr. Rotenizer was preceded in death by his parents Arnold & Delphia Rotenizer, Brother Ronald Rotenizer. Mr. Rotenizer is survived by his wife Joyce Nester Rotenizer of Hillsville; daughter, Jennifer Leigh Rotenizer of Winston-Salem, NC. Also surviving are his brothers and sister and their spouses: J. D. & Janet Rotenizer of Hillsville, VA; Dora & Clinton Wright of Martinsville, VA; Charles & Brenda Rotenizer of Austinville, VA; and Herman & Sharon Rotenizer of King, NC. Also surviving is the grand dog: Gracie Mae Rotenizer and several nieces & nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, August 3, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Pine Grove Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Ronald Bowman and Dr. Allen Cherry officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Rotenizer will lie in state one hour before the service. Military rites will be conducted by Hillsville VFW Post 1115.
