Iris B. Gardner, 92, of Fancy Gap passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Galax. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Gardner; son, Dorsie Lee Gardner; parents, Charlie Mayhew and Sarah Emma Weddle Bowman; two sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-laws, James and Peggy Gardner of Richmond, VA, Olen and Jane Gardner of Fancy Gap, Edward and Judy Gardner of Fancy Gap, and Ronnie and Janice Gardner of Knoxville, TN; brothers, Donald Bowman of Hillsville, and Elmo Bowman of Bristol, TN; sisters, Dorothy Quesinberry of Fancy Gap, Dawn Vinson of Bristol, TN, and Lily Webb of Hillsville; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Gladesboro Lutheran Church with Pastor Joe Shumate officiating. Burial will follow in the Gladesboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Gladesboro Lutheran Church on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Gardner family.
