With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Iris, who left this world on March 27, 2025, at the age of 88.  She was a beacon of love, wisdom, and kindness, whose warmth touched everyone she met.

Born on October 31, 1936, in Carroll County, VA, Iris lived a life full of grace, resilience, and devotion to her family.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.  She was a source of endless support, and the heart of our family.  Her laughter filled our homes, her wisdom guided our paths, and her love will forever remain in our hearts.

She is preceded in death by her parents, seven siblings, and special friend Travis White.

Iris is survived by her husband Lonzy Coble, Jr.  Her children Vaneta Willard (Earl), Dennis Coble, Douglas Coble, Missi Coble, and Michael Coble.  Her grandchildren Ashley Coble, Jarrod Willard (Kayla), Cristian Willard (Hannah), Nathaniel Coble, Noah Coble, Matthew Coble, and Sunshine Ratcliff.  Her great grandchildren Liam Coble, Leah Willard, Eden Willard, Jensen Willard, Chase Hill, Aiden Coble, Callie Coble, and Maddie and Lincoln Hall.  She is also survived by brother Dewey Caviness (Marie) and sisters Cora Lindsey (Bobby), Betty Clyburn, Marie Rosenbaum, Mamie Brooks, and Claudia Mabe.  As well as two special friends, Gilmer White and James Willard, who will all continue to honor her memory by living with the same kindness and grace she exemplified every day.

A memorial to celebrate her beautiful life will be held on March 31, 2025, at Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church with visitation from 5:00 pm-6:00 pm followed by the service.
