Irene "Marie" Weddle Cooper, 83 of Hillsville, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Ms. Cooper was born in Carroll County to the late Elmer and Grace Martin Weddle. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Randall Farmer; sister-in-law, Betty Yokley; and brother-in-law, Dale Scott, Sr..
Survivors include her children, Kendra Farmer, Gary (Rita) Cooper, Randy Cooper, and Jeffery (Nancy Meeks Quesenberry) Cooper; grandchildren, Robert Cooper, Caleb Cooper, Garrath Cooper, Ella Cooper, Grace Cooper, and Michael Andrews; and great-grandchildren, Leah Cooper, Cameron Cooper and Adalin Cooper; sisters-in-law, Jean Scott and Bonnie Cooper, and; nieces and nephews, Dale Scott, Keith Scott, Sally Berne, Barry Yokley, Dean Yokley, April Ramey, Carrie Wilkins, Jenny Fulton, Kyle McGee, and Sydney Cleveland; and several great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Mr. Terry Simone officiating. Burial will follow in the Webb Cemetery in Fancy Gap. Pallbearers will be Tony Davis, Caleb Cooper, Garrath Cooper, Ted Colna, Jeffrey Cooper, and Patrick Lassiter and honorary pallbearers are Ella Cooper and Grace Cooper. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the funeral service. A guestbook is available online by visiting www.vaughanguynnandmcgrady.com.
