Irene Combs Bowman, 93 of Woodlawn passed away Sunday, January 1, 2006 at Trinity Mission of Hillsville. Mrs. Bowman is survived by her children & spouses Maylease Mabe of Cana, Betty Beamer of Woodlawn, Elder Edward & Cora Mae Bowman of Woodlawn, and Berlie & Patsy Bowman of Roanoke; brother & sister-in-law Carlos & Mary Gladys Combs of Woodlawn; sisters & brother-in-law Esther Hill of Hillsville, Wilma & Swanson Vass of Hillsville and Mildred Hill of Hillsville; brother-in-law Paul Rippey of Woodlawn; sister-in-law Josie Combs of Galax; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Elder Edward Bowman and Elder Ronald Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday night at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations may be made to Mt.
