Inez Webb McPeak,91, of Hillsville, Va., went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at Laurel Meadows Nursing Home, Laurel Fork, VA. She was born in Carroll County on June 12, 1920, to the late Posey P. and Maude Largen Webb. She was preceded in in death by her husband, John Hugh McPeak; brothers, Ralph Kermit Webb of Elyria, Ohio,James P. Webb, Hillsville, Quentin Webb, Hillsville, Billy Webb,Hillsville, Cecil Webb, Macedonia, Ohio, sister, Virginia Webb Mitchell, Shaker Heights, Ohio She is survived by two loving daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen (Katie) Shockley and husband, Dennie, Hillsville; Mary Anne Olive and husband, Charles E., Ocala, FLA. Four beloved grandsons, Michael D. Shockley and wife, Teresa, Mebane, NC; John David Shockley and wife, Sharon, Blacksburg; Theodore G. Moore, Jr. and wife, Melissa, Chester, VA;Kenneth E. Olive and his wife, Judy, Montpelier, VA. Five great-grand children, Corey Shockley, Ashley Shockley, Alex Shockley, Savannah Shockley and Ashlee Olive. She also leaves behind brothers Rush P. Webb, Sandusky, Ohio; Ted Webb, (Georgia),Woodlawn; sister Betty Horton, (Rush B. Horton), Salem; sisters-in-law Winnie McPeak Honaker, Martinsville; Estelle Webb, Hillsville, as well as loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was a member of Sky View Baptist Church, Fancy Gap, Va. She and her husband, John, operated the Red Barn Restaurant in Galax, VA for many years. In her earlier years she taught Sunday School and directed Bible School at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was well-known for her good cooking and sewing skills. She also work several years at Spencers, Hillsville. During her latter years, she became a resident of Laurel Meadows Nursing Home where she made many friends of the residents and staff. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m., November 8, 2011, at Sky View Baptist Church, Fancy Gap, VA. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Wendell Horton and Associate Pastor David Johnson officiating. Interment will follow the funeral at Gladesboro Lutheran Cemetery, Hillsville, VA.
