Inez Elizabeth Edwards, 91 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Edwards was born in Carroll County to the late Ermon E. and Gertie Elizabeth Shumate Staples. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Darol Roberts, Sr.; grandson, Darol Dean Roberts, Jr.; and brother, Loman Staples. Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn S. Edwards of Hillsville and Joan E. Roberts of Cameron, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Ernie B. and Shelia Edwards of Hillsville; great granddaughter, Sarah Roberts of Cameron, NC; great-great grandson, Joseph Frable of Cameron, NC; special caregiver, Heather Lilly; and special canine companion, BeBe. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in the Shockley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
