Imogene Jessup Turman, 88, of Laurel Fork, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. Mrs. Turman was born in Patrick County to the late Joseph Edgar and Nancy Thompson Jessup. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Turman. Imogene and Clayton were dairy farmers for over 38 years.

Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Margaret Turman of Laurel Fork and Lora and Phil Copeland of Charlotte, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rabon and Beverly Jessup of Roanoke and Buford and Sue Jessup of Laurel Fork; sisters and brother-in-law, Marie and Rush Martin of Max Meadows and Evona Jessup of Hillsville; grandchildren and spouse, Robin and Ray Goins, Marlisa Fick, and Dustin Combs; and great grandchildren, Ray Goins, Lynette Goins and Laura Fick.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Laurel Fork Primitive Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Elder Jerry Nester, Elder Lewis Vass, and Elder Tim McGrady officiating. Burial will follow in the Bellspur Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Memorials may be made to the Bellspur Cemetery Fund, Bonita Turman 658 Clint Lane, Meadows of Dan, VA 24120. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
