Ila Faye Bond Utt, 84, of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Golden Living Center Blue Ridge. Mrs. Utt was born in Carroll County to the late Jesse A. and Louise Beatrice Sawyers Bond. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Rush Arvies Utt. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Arlie Utt of Walkertown, NC and Leonard and Janice Utt of Norfork, VA; siblings, Milton Bond of Carroll County, Virginia and Mary Lee Coins of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Melba Reynolds of North Carolina; grandchildren and spouses, Joshua and Holly Utt, Jennifer and Jaime Shoemaker, and Gabrielle and John Music; three great grandchildren, Amanda Shoemaker, Matthew Shoemaker, and Andrew Shoemaker; and special family friend, Mel Kiser of Walkertown, NC. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM with Pastor Mike Wells officiating. Burial will follow in the Gladesboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
