Ida Mae Martin, 91of Hillsville, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Twin County Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover Lewis and Della Dickens Webb.

She is survived by husband, James Doran Martin of the home; daughter and son-in law, Faye and Larry Sykes of Hillsville; brother and sister in-law, Elmo and Pat Webb of Hillsville; two grandsons and spouse, Todd and Renee Sykes, and Tony and Robin Sykes; granddaughter and spouse, Cindy and David Parlier; nine great grandchildren, Katie Turman, Alex Sykes, Steele Sykes, Peter Sykes, Jacob Turman, Julia Sykes, Gabe Sykes, Joshua Parlier, and Grace Parlier. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Gladesboro Lutheran Church and the body will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service. Rev. Duane Steele and Rev. Joe Shumate will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Gladesboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, June 4, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
