Icie Vass Tolbert, 91 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Tolbert was born in Carroll County to the late Joseph Roosevelt & Ocra McGrady Vass. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert Franklin Tolbert, grandson Alex Tolbert, and brother Russell Vass.

She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Sandra & Jimmy Moretz of Galax; sons & daughters-in-law Franklin Tolbert & Vicki Lankford of Yadkinville, NC and Timothy & Dreama Tolbert of Willis; sisters Mozelle Montgomery of Dugspur and Odessie Sybol Montgomery of Hillsville; six grandchildren and step-grandchildren: April Collins, Adam Tolbert, Andrea Tolbert-Primm, Aimee Tolbert, Jason Moretz, and Jennifer Moretz; and eight great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren: Jacob Iroler, Ashton Primm, Andrew Primm, Avery Primm, Brennan Moretz, Rylee Moretz, Amy Farmer, Brian Holder, and Jace Collins.

There will be no visitation at this time.  A private memorial will be held by the family at a later date. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
