Icie Izetta Harmon Lintecum, 92 of Hillsville, entered into her eternal life with Jesus, Savior of her soul on Saturday, September 25, 2010, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 70 years, Roscoe Ray Lintecum. She was a member of Coulson Church of the Brethren since December 19, 1943. She was a hard working homemaker who enjoyed quilting, gardening, and working on the family farm. She loved her Church, family and friends, and set an example of Christian values for her loved ones.

Mrs. Lintecum was also preceded in death by her parents, J.L. & Lydia Harmon; sons Billy Duane Lintecum and Roger June Lintecum; two sisters and three brothers. Izetta is survived by her son and daughter-in-law John and Gail Lintecum of Hillsville; daughters & son-in-law Edna and A.L. Noblett of Hillsville, Mary Coulson of Hillsville and Linda Lintecum of Hillsville; sisters-in-law Gladys Lintecum and Forthe Lintecum; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; 1 step grandchild; 6 step great grandchildren; 8 step great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friend and caregiver Teressa Reed.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 27, 2010 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at Coulson Church of the Brethren. Funeral services will be Tuesday September 28, 2010 at Coulson Church of the Brethren at 11:00 AM with Pastor Russell Payne and Pastor Ronald Kronk officiating. Burial will follow in the Coulson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Coulson Church Building Fund or to Twin County Hospice P.O. Box 106 Galax, VA 24333.
