Howard Ray Shockley, 82 of Woodlawn, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2009 at his home. Mr. Shockley was born in Virginia to the late John & Ollie Edwards Shockley. He is survived by his children Jimmie Shockley of Hillsville; Melvin & Debbie Shockley of Woodlawn, Billy & Becky Myers of Cana; brothers & sisters-in-law Glenn & Opalene Shockley and Clayton & Mary Shockley; special kids Kacie Branscome and Dylan Branscome; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Elder Edward Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Shockley Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
