Howard Ray Bond, 80 of Dugspur, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2008 at Trinity Mission of Hillsville. Mr. Bond was preceded in death by his first wife Jeanetta Bond. He is survived by wife Evelyn Bond of the home; daughters & sons-in-law Brenda & Charles Nester of Luray, VA, Debra Bond & William Vest of Dublin, and Jennifer & Alan Gardner of Dugspur; son Julian Bond of Christiansburg; step-children & spouses Melvin & Judy Boone of Shawsville and Renee & Richard Kingrea of Christiansburg; grandchildren & spouse Heather & Randy Turman, Joshua Bond, Amy Quesenberry, Sharon Quesenberry and Andrew Gardner; step grandchildren & spouses Melisa & Darrell Gilmore, Steven Kingrea and Tommy & Sherry Kingrea; and eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Mitchell Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church at 1:30 PM with Pastor Jerry Blevins and Rev. Harvey Carico officiating. Burial will follow in the Cox Cemetery. The family will receive at the church on Tuesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
