Houston Delano Bowman, 84 of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. Mr. Bowman was born in Floyd County, Virginia to the late Sanford Fret and Arizona Sutphin Bowman. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, LeRoy Bowman.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Bowman; children, Randy Delano Bowman, Rex Lynn Bowman, Carey Ross Bowman, Mary Frances Bowman, Dale Lee Bowman, and Rick Allen Bowman; sister, Lucille Spangler; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and loyal and faithful furry friend, Princess Sadie Ann Bowman.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Eddie Booth officiating. Burial will follow in the Spence Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Moore's Baptist Church 10198 Roanoke Rd. Elliston, VA 24087. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
