Homer Lee Turman, 70 of Woodlawn, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026. Mr. Turman was born in Radford, Virginia to the late Artie and Winnie Marshall Turman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Curtis Turman.

Survivors include his wife, Letty Turman; stepchildren, Justin Neaves (Joanna Jones), Joshua Winesett (Janell), Callie Holt, Jennifer Short, and Tracy Reedy (J.P.); sister-in-law, Kristen Turman; seven step-grandchildren; two great-step-grandchildren; and his faithful companions, Scruffy, Scrappy, and Braxton.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Scott Flippin officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date at Homer’s Place. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Blue Ridge Fellowship Next Generation Fund, 5357 Glendale Road, Woodlawn, VA 24381. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
