Homer Junior Dalton, 77 of Hillsville, passed away Monday, August 14, 2006 at Twin County Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late Homer Dalton, Sr. and Lucy Fleming Dalton. Mr. Dalton worked at Mick or Mack for 26 years and worked 10 years with the Carroll County Sheriffs Department with the rank of Captain. He was the past Worshipful Master of Hillsville Masonic Lodge and a Deacon and an Elder in the Hillsville Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife Glenda Dalton of the home; nephew and spouse Dale and Suzanne Scarborough of Edgewater, MD; great nephew and spouse Michael & Stephanie Scarborough of Las Vegas, Nev.; and great nieces Caitlin Scarborough and Erin Scarborough of Baltimore, MD.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 17, 2006 at the Hillsville Presbyterian Church at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Ray Eichler officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Memory Gardens. Masonic Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville Masonic Lodge #193 AF & AM. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
