Obituary

Holland Walker Cochran, 88, of Hillsville, departed this life and entered her heavenly home on Sat., Dec.3, 2005. She was a long-time member of Dalton Hill Christian Church, faithfully serving her Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence J. Cochran, her parents Posey and Pearl Walker, and her sister Launia Barrett. Surviving to cherish her memory are three daughters and sons-in-law: Elsie and J. D. Smith, Bonnie and Wade Padgett, Sue and James Faddis; one grandson and wife Jeffrey W. and Terri M. Padgett, two great-grandchildren Madison and Mac Padgett, one sister-in-law Maggie C. Shockley and many loving nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate her life will be Monday, Dec. 5 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dalton Hill Christian Church with Pastor Dennis Neely officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday night, Dec. 4th from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home in Hillsville. Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be sent to Dalton Hill Christian Church, General Fund, % Trina Caviness, 3188 Poplar Camp Rd., Hillsville, Va. 24343. The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff (her extended family) at Beverly Blue Ridge Health Care.
