Hobert Franklin Tolbert, 86 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Tolbert was born in Carroll County to the late James Mac & Della Sutphin Tolbert. He is survived by his wife Icie V. Tolbert of the home; daughter & son-in-law Sandra & Jimmy Moretz of Galax; sons & daughters-in-law Franklin & Tonia Tolbert of Winston Salem, NC and Timothy & Dreama Tolbert of Dugspur; brother & sister-in-law Mavin & Peggy Tolbert of Galax; sister Zelma Goad of Hillsville; seven grandchildren April Iroler, Jason Moretz, Jennifer Myers, Alex Tolbert, Adam Tolbert, Andrea Tolbert-Primm and Aimee Tolbert; and five great grandchildren Jacob Iroler, Brennan Moretz, Rylee Moretz, Amy Holder and Brian Holder.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM with Elder Lewis Vass officiating. Burial will follow in the McGrady Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
