Hettie Green Gravley, 87 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Salem Health and Rehab. Mrs. Gravley was born in Carroll County to the late Fred & Rebecca Hicks Blankenship. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Barney Spud Gravley and sons Donald Gray Gravley and Gary Wade Gravley. She is survived by her daughter Alice Bryant of Salem and Rebecca Rambo of Hillsville; daughter-in-law Daisy Gravley of Hillsville; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Dr. John Dunstan officiating. Burial will follow in the Dalton Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 17, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
