Herman Farris Brown, Jr., 81 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023 at his home. Mr. Brown was born in Pulaski, Virginia to the late Herman Farris Brown, Sr. and Virginia Roseberry Brown. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Roger Dale Brown; and a sister, Brenda Roemer.

Survivors include his wife, Donnita "Donna" Brown; daughters, Angela Brun and Kimberly Brugh; step-sons, James Bedwell (Viv) and Herbert Bedwell; sisters, Diana Camden (Donnie) and MaryAnn Ramsey; grandchildren, Heather Martin (Jamie), Hailey Brugh, Hannah Bedwell, and Tiarra Bedwell; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Dr. Mike Higgins and Pastor Chuck Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the funeral service.
