Henry Eli Barr, 94 of Hillsville passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. He is survived by his daughters & sons-in-law Eunice & Olen Horton of Fancy Gap, Elizabeth & Walter Hawkins of Salisbury, NC, Genola & Jack Stuart of Mechanicsville, VA, and Joyce & Mike Fisher of Fancy Gap; sons & daughters-in-law William & Thelma Barr of Hillsville, Lester & Pat Barr of Louisa, VA, Clifton & Mary Barr of Fancy Gap and Roger & Margie Barr of Fancy Gap; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; five step grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his two step-daughters Cheryl Hill & husband Dwayne and Linda Sharp all of Hillsville; two step-sons & spouses Ryland & Rosemary Humphrey of Kernersville, NC and Jerry & Susan Humphrey of Wytheville, VA; six step-grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
