Helen Burnette Worrell, 92, of Gladesboro passed away on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows Nursing Home in Laurel Fork. She was preceded in death by her husband W. Glenn Worrell; two daughters, Wanda Joyce Worrell and Brenda Faye Worrell Haley; parents, Horace Greely and Virginia SutphinWorrell. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Glenda C. and Kenneth Sharp of Hillsville; brother and sister-in-law, Clayton and Ruby Burnette of Danville; sister-in-law, Ermastein Burnette of Amarillo, TX; grandson, Kevin Sharp of Woodlawn; granddaughter, Faye Stephens of St. Petersburg, FL; great grandson, Donnovan Stevens of St. Petersburg, FL. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Kevin Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Bluemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 from six until eight. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bluemont Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
