Helen Marie Warf Fender, 83 of Hillsville, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Trinity Mission of Hillsville. Mrs. Fender was born in Carroll County to the late Ray Kedric "Ked" Warf and Carrie Elizabeth Leonard Warf. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest "Buzz" Nicholas Fender; one sister, Peggy "Peg" Mae Ball; and seven brothers, Roy James "Budd" Warf, William Wayne "Bill" Warf, Robert Jackson "Jack" Warf, Michael Howard "Mike" Warf, Larry Jean "Cubb" Warf, Ray Kedric "Ray" Warf, and Tony Leonard Warf. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Kay and Leon Earl Jordan of Lambsburg; sons Terry Lee Fender of Hillsville and Kenneth Ray Fender of Georgia; sisters, Melba Lee Hawks of Galax, Linda Faye Nixon of Fries, Edith Ann Warf of Galax, Janet Sue Hawks of Austinville, and Hilda Joyce Poole of Ennice, NC; brother, Clyde Ervin Warf of Galax; grandchildren, Rhonda Kay Jordan Phillips and husband, Shon Mark Phillips and Amy Lea Jordan Payne and husband, Jonathan Blake Payne; great grandchildren, Natalie McKenize Payne "Nat", Madison Alexis Phillips "Lexi" and Landon Mark Phillips. A graveside service with burial following will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Leonard Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Billy Dean officiating.
