Helen Stilwell Montgomery, 91, of Allisonia, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Montgomery was born in Carroll County to the late Posey and Lauretta Dalton Stilwell. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James P. Montgomery, and sons, Roy Montgomery and Ray Montgomery. Survivors include her son, Archie Montgomery of Hiwassee and special daughter-in-law, Arba Montgomery. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Chris Carlisle officiating. Burial will follow in Dry Pond Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Montgomery family.
