Heath Alex Redd, 93 of Galax, passed away May 24, 2011 at Golden Living Center. He was born August 23, 1917 in Grayson County to the late Alexander Martin & Elizabeth Malinda Jennings Redd. Survivors include his wife, Anna Mae Redd, Galax; sister Marie Hayes, Statesville, NC; stepchildren Liz Galyean and Bill Robinson; grandchildren Kenneth Muncy, Karen Osborne, Kevin Underwood, Lori Johnson, Scott Redd, and Jason Redd; and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Darren Brannock and Pastor Pete Hawks officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardner Memorial Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville Grover King Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday one hour prior to the funeral service.
