Heath Newman, 89, of Hillsville passed away on October 5, 2007 at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Newman of the home; sister-in-law Fannie Newman of Hillsville; and several nieces and nephews.

The graveside funeral service will be on Monday, October 8, 2007 at 1:00 PM, at the Newman cemetery. The Rev. Norman Goad will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 to 12 noon at the Vaughan Guynn McGrady Chapel. Military rites will be conducted graveside by Hillsville VFW Post 1115.
