Hazel P. Roberts, 72, of Allisonia passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Roberts, Sr.; parents, Early Robert and Maggie Quesenberry Ousley. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Dixie Smith of Max Meadows, and Spring and Jeff Akers of Allisonia; son, Roy Roberts, Jr. of Allisonia; three grandchildren, Amanda Smith, Jonathan Akers, Sr., and Angel Akers; four great grandchildren, Jasmine Serrano, Brian Lopez, Jonathan Akers, Jr., and Melanie Rose Akers. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Eddie Bailey, and Rev. Leroy Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in the Dry Pond Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Roberts family.
