Hattie L. Moxley, 70, of Fancy Gap, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Moxley was born in Carroll County to the late Rosten and Mattie Garris Lowe. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, RC Lowe and a sister, Coleen Brown. Survivors include her husband, James G. Moxley of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Judy Lintecum of Hillsville, Terry and Barbara Lintecum of Palmyra, VA, and Teddy and Michelle Lintecum of Galax; grandchildren and spouse, Justin Lintecum, Shelby Lintecum, Megan and Luke Acree, Taylor Lintecum, Abigail Lintecum, Hattie Lintecum, and Grace Lintecum; great grandson, Bryar Lintecum; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray and Sina Lowe of Mount Airy, NC and Virgil and Jane Lowe of Fancy Gap; and sister, Betty Blankenship of Hillsville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ray Bolen and Rev. Ernie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Ridge Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 1:00 PM and lasting until service time. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
