Hassell G. (Jack) Nester, 75 of Elk Creek, passed away on Friday, March 06, 2009 at Grayson Nursing & Rehab Center. Mr. Nester was born in Carroll County to the late Harden & Lettie Nester. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Bessie Nester; a daughter Sandra Lineberry; brothers; and sisters. He is survived by his daughters & sons-in-law Rhonda & Randy Delp of Elk Creek, Janet & David Nester of Laurel Fork, Nancy & Jimmy Wiles of Hillsville and Anita Zehnder of Stuart; sons & daughters-in-law David & Wanda Nester and Donald & Missy Nester all of Laurel Fork; son-in-law Joe Lineberry; sister Edna Mae Riddle of Martinsville; brother Junior Nester of Hillsville; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Crooked Oak Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115.
