Harrison Russell Jennings, 76, of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2008 at his home. Mr. Jennings was born in Carroll County to the late Harrison Leonard and Amanda Gray Jennings. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Ann Jennings. He is survived by his daughters Connie Ousley & husband Wiley of Hillsville, Bonnie Jennings of Hillsville, Katherine Smith & husband Chris of Ararat, and Barbara Felton & husband George of Hampton, VA; step son Ricky Goad & wife Lisa of Hillsville; brother Billy Jennings & wife Elaine of Laurel Fork; sisters Mildred Norman & husband Paul of Hillsville, Edyth Earwood of Ashville, NC and Alma Easter & husband Cameron of Cana; sisters-in-law Beverly Jennings of Glen Burnie, MD and Eula Jennings of Hillsville; brother-in-law Robert Redd & wife Cecilia of Lexington, NC; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 12:00 PM with Rev. Carl Ginder, Rev. Chris Carlisle and Rev. Vinton Quesenberry officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
