Harold Roscoe Bowman, 66 of Hillsville, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Duke University Medical Center. Mr. Bowman was born in Carroll County to the late Dexter & Eppie Sawyers Bowman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Jackson Bowman. Mr. Bowman is survived by his wife Barbara Jean Webb Bowman of the home; sons & daughters-in-law Anthony Harold & Melissa Bowman and Timothy Keith & Sandy Bowman all of Mt. Airy, NC; brother & sister-in-law John E. & Alene Bowman of Mt. Airy, NC; sisters & brothers-in-law Reva & Elmo Hiatt of Mt. Airy, NC and Vesta & Clevers Puckett of Fancy Gap; grandchildren Wesley Bowman, John Bowman and Christan Bowman; and sister-in-law Betty Bowman of Mt. Airy, NC.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at 2:30 PM at the Semones Cemetery with Pastor Elmo Hiatt officiating. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Saturday, October 18, 2008 from 6:00 until 9:00 PM.
