Harold Wayne Pickett, 71 of Austinville, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Pickett was born in North Fork, West Virginia to the late Charles and Bonnie Burnette Pickett. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Robbie Wayne Pickett; a sister, Terri Lynn Marshall; son-in-law, George Edward Burns.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Janice R. Pickett; daughter, Tracy Lynn Burns; grandson, Jacob Edward Burns; granddaughters; Olivia Hope Pickett and Alison Rayne Pickett; great-grandson, Eziekel Crotts; siblings, Sandra Brinkley, Robin Bond, Lisa Lawson and husband, Jerry, Larry Pickett and wife, Linda, Joe Pickett and wife, Debbie, Jeff Pickett and wife Tammy, Dusty Pickett and wife, Malette, and Danny Pickett and wife, Kim; special caregiver, Christian Mayes; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Jeff Pickett and Pastor Wendell Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Webb-Skyview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
